Karwa Chauth
Monday 10/29/07, from 4:00 pm

Hindu women observe the Karwa Chauth fast to ensure wedded bliss and a long life for their husbands. The day long ritual of fasting without food or water dates back to Lord Shiva and Parvati when Shiva described the significance of the Karva Vrat. Lord Krishna also asked Draupadi to observe the fast so that through its influence Arjun could defeat the Kauravas.

Karva Chauth Vrat Katha poojas will start at the mandir in batches from 4:00 pm.
